Kelsey Connect | April 9, 2026
Hola Kelsey Family, Friday night, one of our young people read about someone offering Jesus vinegar on the cross. Of course, that's a part of the story I know, but I've never taken much time to reflect on it. The visual aid (a paper towel wrapped around a stick ) helped me think about that moment more. That said, I hope the Holy Week and Resurrection Sunday worship gatherings were meaningful parts of your Easter celebration. The palm branches and the lilies are gone. All we have left now to fill the sanctuary is our praise! I'm hopeful that the joy of Resurrection Sunday carries over into the coming weeks. That you and I will invite someone we know to join us and make sure no one leaves Kelsey without a greeting (Hello!). This week, the Kelsey Kids will take up our the Noisy Offering. So, bring your change. By the way, I'm working on a Summer Bible project for them they're going to love; we'll use funds from the Noisy Offering to make it happen. And if you're available Wednesday mornings, we're going to resume watching The Chosen starting next week (April 15th). We start at 10am with a prayer and Bible reading. Then we watch an episode and discuss how it connects to the Jesus story. Thank you for all you do for the glory of God and for Kelsey's mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ. See you Sunday. Stay blessed...john P.S. Make plans to support The United Methodist Men with their annual BBQ fundraiser, Saturday, April 25th, 11am-2pm. For more infomation visit:

Weekly Resource
Easter isn’t just a day. It’s a season. And more than that, it’s an invitation. An invitation into resurrection. Into new life. Into practices that actually shape us, not just inspire us for a moment. That’s why I want to share a simple resource with you. A friend and colleague of mine put it together: https://easter-practices-generator.netlify.app/ It’s called the Easter Practices Generator, and it does exactly what it sounds like. It gives you simple, meaningful practices you can try during this season. Nothing complicated. Nothing overwhelming. Just small, intentional ways to step into the life Jesus offers. Because resurrection isn’t just something we celebrate, but something we practice. So take a minute. Click the link. Try a practice. For more infomation visit:

A day of rejoicing
You’ve heard the Easter story before. You know about the empty tomb, the angels, and you know "He is risen." But what if the real moment… isn’t the empty tomb? What if it’s when Jesus simply says… “Hello.” For more infomation visit: https://www.kelseymemorial.org/podcasts/media/2026-04-05-a-day-of-rejoicing
