Kelsey Connect | January 22, 2026
I've been working on the sound system this week. Hopefully, we're a lot closer to better sound for our Sunday livestream--especially since more of us might use it this weekend. It's going to be a cold Sunday. We'll still gather for worship, but if you're not comfortable being out, we understand. When the weather changes like this, it's a good time to check in on your neighbors and others from the church. This Sunday, I'll be introducing this year's Church Council. Our council president will also give you a presentation about the council's work and where our ministry is going this year. Make sure to pray for them and the work they have to do. Finally, I need your help. I'm planning to host a coffee get together for those in our church who are in their 20s and 30s. Do you have someone you know and love that fits that category? Forward me their name so I can make sure to invite them. We'll get together every other week so I can buy them a coffee and touch base with them. I'm looking forward to it. Stay warm and have a great rest of the week. Stay blessed...john P.S. Mark your calendars for the United Methodist Men's Valentine's Party (February 7) and the Kelsey Youth's Souper Bowl (February 8). For more infomation visit:

Thinking about the beatitudes
The Ignatian Beatitudes Examen is a guided reflection that helps you slow down and honestly ask: Where do I see these blessings taking shape in my life? Where do I resist them? It’s not about getting the “right” answers but about creating space for God to meet us in our real lives. I encourage you to read through the reflection and try the activity sometime this week, either on your own or with others. For more infomation visit:

Remember that you are baptized
What if baptism is less about understanding and more about identity? Before the world names you by success, fear, or failure, God names you Beloved. For more infomation visit: https://www.kelseymemorial.org/podcasts/media/2026-01-11-belovedness-comes-first
