This May, our Communion offering will be part of something much bigger than our local church.

On May 17, 2026, churches across our conference and around the world will join together for what’s called Miracle Sunday. It’s the culmination of a six-week season focused on what it means to love boldly, serve joyfully, and lead courageously as followers of Jesus.

And on that day, we will give as an offering and an investment in the future of the global church.

Across the United Methodist connection, the church is growing, especially in places like Africa, Europe, and the Philippines. Yet many of the pastors leading these growing communities don’t have the same access to theological education that we often take for granted.

That’s where Miracle Sunday comes in.

Our gifts will help support an endowment that provides theological education for future pastors. This will help in raising up leaders who will preach the gospel, shepherd communities, and bring hope in places we may never physically go. In fact, this initiative is expected to help prepare hundreds of new pastors every year for ministry around the world.

So when you come to the table this May, you’re not just receiving bread and cup.

You’re participating in something holy and global.

You’re helping train a pastor you may never meet…
who will preach a sermon you may never hear…
that will change a life you may never see.

That’s the beauty of the Church.
